This mix is 4 years in the making; saving precious seeds starting in 2020, I finally grew all my favorites together in 2023 to collect and share. They are the best of pastels and named after oil pastels, which boast an innate glow just like these zinnias. If you think cream, blush, buff, peach are simple colors…think again. These shades offer so much depth and luminosity to the grower, and brought both me and the pollinators so much excitement this year!
Just like any mix that is not a formal variety , you may find colors you want to remove from the row. The flowers are both single, double, semi double and cactus forms, and range from icy lavender to golden peachy yellow and everything in between. In short, these are the novel colors we are all after this year and were isolated this year from any other colors! Just stunning. These seeds from my garden included lineage that was saved from Dawn Creek and Oklahoma ivory among other beautiful varieteis.
